SafePlace: Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Survival Center provides crisis intervention, prevention and long-term support to survivors of sexual and domestic violence in the Austin/Travis County area. Through two 24-hour hotlines, emergency shelter, counseling, transitional housing, school-based services, extensive advocacy and community outreach, SafePlace serves thousands of women, children and men each year. Over half of those receiving services from SafePlace are children who have witnessed or been victimized by family violence, or suffered trauma from sexual violence.
