Bill Christian talks about Longhorn pipeline in South Austin

With the Permian Basin frenzy, the oil industry is booming in West Texas. During the 1950s, the Longhorn pipeline was built to carry crude oil to Houston refineries and is back at it again. In Bastrop last week, part of the pipeline was damaged and resulted in a major oil rupture.

Appellate attorney, Bill Christian who works on pipeline cases for landowners and spoke with KUT about the history of the Longhorn pipeline and how last week’s incident was an eye opener for South Austin. Listen here on KUT.
