Permitting, Zoning and Land Use Entitlements

  • Obtained vested rights determinations under state law to allow continuation of projects in progress despite changes in regulations.
  • Provided representation for permitting, development, construction financing, leasing and sales for development of second phase of a major mixed use project (retail, hotel and office-warehouse flex space).
  • Represented offshore property group in the acquisition, construction, construction financing, and marketing of a high rise residential condominium, including entitlements and construction for an underground parking garage adjoining Lady Bird Lake.
  • Handled purchase, entitlements, tax incentive agreements, community restrictions, and development arrangements for a mixed-use development of over 400 acres in Hutto, Texas.
  • Represented national developer in obtaining necessary municipal approvals and entitlements for redevelopment of a hotel site on Lady Bird Lake in central Austin.
  • Represented property owners in negotiating and obtaining entitlements, including affordable housing components, for property sites and multi-family projects in Austin.
  • Represented national developer in annexation and zoning proceedings with the City of Austin and coordinated discussion with Texas Department of Transportation and Capital Regional Mobility Authority on transportation issues.
