Cross-Border Investments and Commercial Transactions

Graves Dougherty attorneys have advised dozens of clients of every size on a wide range of commercial matters in virtually all major commercial markets, on projects ranging from M&A transactions to outsourcing, and from software licensing and joint technology development agreements to franchises and concessions for natural resource development. The Firm’s attorneys have advised on commercial agreements and investments in more than seventy-five countries and have particular experience advising clients on projects in developing markets in Asia, Latin America, and the North Africa/Middle East region.

 

Regulation of International Trade and Investment

Graves Dougherty attorneys provide guidance to US and foreign multinationals on regulatory issues affecting their cross-border commercial activities, such as anti-corruption obligations and practices (e.g., the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act), US and UN trade sanctions and embargos, anti-boycott regulations, and the norms of international corporate social responsibility.
