REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Represented 52 Mexican investors in a civil RICO suit in federal court in Atlanta to recover funds taken in U.S. real estate fraud scheme.
  • Represented Mexican bank in successful civil RICO suit against U.S. and British companies to recover funds taken in complex fraudulent international money laundering operation.
  • Represented Amoco, Exxon, Texaco and 29 other oil companies in litigation against the State of Texas challenging the constitutionality of provisions of the Texas Unclaimed Property Act affecting some $500 million in unclaimed royalty payments.
  • Represented pharmaceutical company in claim against Bangkok based Foundation before arbitral tribunal of International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration in order to obtain rights to intellectual property in injectable contraceptives.
  • Defended one of five largest U.S. insurance companies against anti-trust suit brought by states.
  • Represented plaintiffs who challenged congressional redistricting plan adopted by Texas legislature and obtained final decision by U.S. Supreme Court overturning that plan.
  • Represented plaintiff in successful claims against twelve insurance companies for liability coverage on clean-up of major hazardous waste site.
  • Represented Mexican company in successful litigation in U.S. federal court to recover damages for unfair competition.
  • Represented French energy company in dispute arising out of extraction of natural gas from North Sea field.
