Graves, Dougherty, Hearon & Moody seeks a partner or senior associate (5+ years) whose practice focuses on intellectual property and technology related transactions, including: development, licensing and commercialization; tech-driven joint ventures; manufacturing, distribution and marketing arrangements; cloud computing and e-commerce related agreements; and privacy and data protection. Such attorney would support the firm’s corporate and finance practices in mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, security agreements and other financing transactions and advise on related intellectual property, privacy and technology issues, coordinate technology/IP diligence efforts and drafting and negotiating ancillary documents.
An energetic and creative problem-solver with superior client-management skills, excellent academic credentials, and venture capital experience required. Technical background and/or prior industry experience in technology/life sciences and existing relationships with emerging growth companies in Austin preferred. Must have a strong desire to be a direct contributor in a dynamic and collaborative working environment, and to actively engage in helping to build a thriving corporate and technology practice through business and career development efforts, including mentoring and training associates. Candidates must have a portable book of business and must be licensed to practice in Texas.
