About

Barclay Proctor is an associate in the firm’s transactional practice group, where he advises clients on a wide range of real estate and oil and gas matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, title and survey issues, development projects, and the negotiation of commercial agreements.

Prior to joining Graves Dougherty, Barclay earned his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Rebecca Rutherford of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. During law school, he was the Associate Managing Editor of the SMU Law Review’s Texas Survey and a Chief in the SMU First Amendment Clinic. Barclay also gained valuable experience developing his practice at a private firm in the Dallas area.

Outside of work, Barclay enjoys watching the Texas Longhorns and Houston professional sports teams. He is an avid cyclist and can often be found riding his bike around town. On weekends, he enjoys cooking and traveling to the Texas Gulf Coast to fish and spend time with family.
