Attorney Daniela Peinado Welsh participated on the panel for the Central Texas Law Summit during the session titled “Should ChatGPT Be Your Next Lawyer?” on Friday, March 27 in the Austin Community College Rio Grande campus. The summit, hosted by The Center for Government and Civic Service, brought together practicing professionals to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the legal profession. The event was led by Cate Thompson and Tzur Shalit. The summit included keynote speaker Kevin Frazier and provided attendees with interactive sessions.
The panel brought together panelists partner Daniela Peinado Welsh, founder Colin McNamara, director Joshua Weaver, and moderator Carey Cranor to discuss the intersection of AI within the legal industry. They analyzed the challenges and opportunities the legal field is facing through the application of Artificial Intelligence. The takeaway from the Central Texas Law Summit is clear: AI will not replace lawyers, but lawyers that effectively use AI may replace those that do not.
