Graves Dougherty would like to congratulate attorney Chris Trickey on becoming board certified in Construction Law. This is a distinction that recognizes experience and expertise in the field. To qualify for certification an applicant must demonstrate a substantial knowledge in multiple disciplines of construction law during each of the preceding five years, with a minimum of 40% involvement in construction law matters each year, and provide strong professional recommendations from judges and lawyers. During this time Chris also had to achieve 60 hours of continuing legal education in Construction Law. Finally, Chris had to pass a rigorous 6-hour exam with the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS). The certification process requires expertise in areas including design and construction contracts, liens and bond rights (at both the state and federal level), as well as procurement and delivery systems, and more.
Chris dedicated a lot of time and hard work to achieving this certification. Chris’s achievement reflects his deep commitment to the practice of construction law and his dedication to providing exceptional service to clients.
