GDHM Welcomes Megan E. Cook

Graves Dougherty is pleased to welcome Megan E. Cook as an associate to the firm’s Estate Planning, Probate and Trusts practice group.

Meg attended the University of Texas at Austin earning a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a Minor in European Studies. She attended Texas Tech University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude with her Juris Doctorate. Before joining GDHM, Meg spent seven years in private practice in the Austin and Dallas areas.

Her practice is dedicated to counseling clients in a wide range of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. Meg works with clients to develop personalized and tax-efficient estate plans, including wills, revocable trusts, and incapacity documents. In addition to planning, Meg represents executors, trustees and beneficiaries in probate, estate and trust administration matters, including the preparation and filing of federal gift tax and federal estate tax returns. Meg also advises on and helps implement business succession and sophisticated lifetime wealth transfer techniques.

In her spare time, Meg enjoys cheering on the Longhorns, playing recreational tennis, attending an early morning workout class, and exploring all things Austin with her husband Joe and daughter Polly.
