Graves Dougherty is pleased to announce that Daniela Peinado Welsh has been elected as the newest shareholder of the firm. Since joining us in 2022, Daniela has consistently demonstrated her exceptional legal acumen and collaborative presence. Her election to Shareholder reflects the contributions she has made to the firm and the legal profession.
Daniela earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from Notre Dame Law School in 2018. While there she worked on Law Review, competed in Moot Court, received Dean’s Awards in Legal Writing, and served as Co-President of the Hispanic Law Students Association. She has participated in several federal clerkships; Daniela clerked for the Hon. Lee Yeakel in Austin, Texas as well as the Hon. Anthony Patti.
During her time at the firm, Daniela has become a significant member of the firm’s Litigation Section. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, where she has been at the center of our most complex cases. She represents clients in state court and federal court, from pre-suit to mediation, trial, or appeal. She is on the Board of the Austin Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section, Austin Young Lawyers Association, and Mother Attorney Mentoring Association. She has been selected for local and statewide leadership programs and appointed to the State Bar’s Minimum Continuing Legal Education Committee.
While at Graves Dougherty, Daniela was named in Austin Monthly’s Top Attorneys list of 2025. Daniela was selected as a Rising Star by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers in 2024 and 2025. She joined the Austin Bar Foundation in 2025 and the Texas Bar Foundation (by nomination only) in 2024. Before moving to Austin to clerk for Judge Yeakel, she practiced law in California and in 2020 received the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services from the California State Bar. Daniela is licensed to practice law in Texas, California, and Washington, D.C.
Please join us in congratulating Daniela on this well-deserved achievement. We look forward to her continued growth and leadership.
