Graves Dougherty attorneys successfully represent City of Lampasas

Mary Keeney and Helen Currie Foster successfully represented the City of Lampasas (Lampasas) against water provider Central Texas Water Supply Corp. (CTWSC) in Bell County District court.  The matter originally began between Kempner Water Supply Corp (KWSC) and CTWSC after CTWSC changed their billing method from that required in the wholesale water contract with KWSC.  KWSC’s costs eventually increased under the new method.  In spite of the change, local KWSC continued to make payments based on the original billing method and CTWSC sued KWSC.  By another contract, a portion of KWSC’s CTWSC costs are passed onto Lampasas.  Lampasas later intervened as the new billing method violated the contracts for Lampasas and KWSC.

On November 15, Judge Gordon G. Adams ruled in favor of Lampasas and KWSC.  Of Graves Dougherty, Lampasas City Manager Finley deGraffenried said “the city and our citizens are served very well by them.”
