Graves Dougherty Celebrates Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month, Graves Dougherty is proud to celebrate with a #WomenofGDHM campaign. Throughout the month of March, Graves Dougherty is recognizing the national celebration with a firm-wide diaper drive to benefit United Way for Greater Austin, highlighting members of the Women Lawyers group, and a female empowered movie screening for all at GDHM.

Graves Dougherty is committed to maintaining a positive work environment through diversity and inclusion efforts. Not only does this benefit our employees, it also enhances the work and services we provide to clients.

Firm President, John McFarland, shared “I recently heard an interview of Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, speaking about the absence of significant numbers of women in board rooms. She said that if half of the boards of banks were women, it would provide a broader perspective on the banks’ business and improve the workplace for all, men and women. That has been my experience at Graves Dougherty.  Much of law practice is a people business – understanding the needs and desires of our clients and counseling them on often difficult and complex decisions. I believe the women of GDHM are exceptionally suited to that mission.”
