GDHM ATTORNEYS HONORED BY THE TEXAS BAR FOUNDATION

Brian T. Cumings and Nicholas C. Miller, attorneys with Graves Dougherty Hearon & Moody, have been elected as Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. They join GDHM attorney WM. Terry Bray and Rudy K. Metayer as lifetime members. The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the nation. Election to the Fellows is by nomination only and one of the highest honors for a member of the State Bar of Texas. It is a recognition of the impact they have made in service to the legal profession.

Fellows of the Foundation are nominated for their outstanding professional achievements, their commitment to the justice system, and their dedication to the community throughout the state of Texas. Selection of a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation is restricted to members of the State Bar of Texas. Members are comprised of approximately 10,000 attorneys and judges across the state of Texas. The Foundation divides the state into 17 nominating district committees. Each year one-third of one percent of the State Bar members are nominated to become Fellows. Once nominees are selected, they must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees.

The Texas Bar Foundation is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, committed to the mission of “Building a Stronger Justice System.”  They have celebrated 57 years of dedication to the law and justice. They have awarded more than $24 million in grants made possible by donations.
