GDHM Welcomes Hailey Suggs and Mark Stahl

GDHM is pleased to welcome attorneys Hailey Suggs and Mark Stahl to the firm’s litigation section. Hailey returns to the firm after her judicial clerkship with the Honorable Lee Yeakel of the Western District of Texas and Mark joins the firm after his recent judicial clerkship with the Honorable Rebeca Huddle of the Supreme Court of Texas.

 

Hailey Suggs

Hailey represents clients in a broad range of complex disputes before state courts, federal courts, and arbitration tribunals. She drafts and responds to dispositive motions, handles discovery disputes, and advocates for her clients in the courtroom.

Hailey listens carefully to her clients and provides advice focused on efficiently achieving their goals. She pays close attention to the procedural and adversarial posture of a case and effectively communicates with both opposing counsel and the Court.

Before she was a lawyer, Hailey was an actor. This experience heightened her sense of empathy and honed her ability to communicate with people and juries.

Hailey loves to read fiction books in her spare time and admittedly joins too many book clubs. She also enjoys discussing Michigan football and Texas baseball, playing trivia, and watching Jeopardy. As a native Austinite, you will often find her swimming at Barton Springs or walking the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail.

 

Mark Stahl

Mark guides clients through a range of complex disputes before state and federal courts. In law school, he served as Chief Online Editor for Volume 40 and Staff Editor for Volume 39 of The Review of Litigation. After law school, Mark served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Randy Crane of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Most recently, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Rebeca Huddle of the Supreme Court of Texas.

Mark’s background in mathematics and engineering influence his systematic approach to analyzing legal issues. His ability to stay organized while assisting in fact intensive, multi-party disputes is an asset to client teams.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys tennis, working with stained glass, playing video games, and making memories with friends and family.
